The NIBCM's Business Continuity Management Planner (BCMP) designation is an internationally recognized business continuity management (BCM) certification. It is designed to recognize a BCM practitioner's competency in understanding the "Best Principles" and "Best Practices" of Business Continuity Management.
These BCM professionals may be senior and middle management, or business executives, who may be tasked to develop BC, DR, emergency response, recovery and resumption processes, procedures and plans for the organisation.
How to be Certified
- Attend and Complete the online BCM-701 Certificate in Business Continuity Management course;
- Attempt and Pass the BCMP exam with at least a minimum score of 70%.
Procedures
- Sign up for the course at www.BCMcourses.com
- Pay the Course Fee; the BCMP exam fee is included in the course fee
- Take all lessons in the course, homework assignments are optional
- Answer quizzes at the end of each lesson
- Answer the BCMP Final Exam with at least a 70% score
- Be awarded the BCMP certification
Certification
- Requirement: Pass the BCMP Examination
- Experience: No experience is needed for the award of the certification if the BCM-701 course is completed. The course is considered equivalent to 2 years' on-the-job experience.
Maintenance Fee Payment
Beginning in 2024 for new certifications awarded on or after January 1, 2023:
- Year 1: Free
- Year 2: $ 50 USD Annual Renewal Fee
